Geoffrey Sautner
Experienced in direction, production and cinematography, Geoffrey’s unique approach to filmmaking draws inspiration from the works of Werner Herzog, Lars von Trier and Michael Haneke. His style combines a documentary approach with a finely attuned eye for colour, drama and subjects. His short films and videos have been shot around the world, from the UK to Mongolia and Haiti.
His first major project, 2009’s ‘Transmission for Year 0’ was accepted in the competition for the prestigious Oberhausen International Film Festival. ‘Achantè’, Geoffrey’s most recent project, has been nominated and won several international awards, including Best Experimental Film at the European Independent Film Festival in 2012.
